Dr Paul Massarotto
Principal Research Fellow in Coalbed Methane (CBM) and Geosequestration at University of Queensland
Dr Paul Massarotto holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Queensland where he is a Principal Research Fellow in Coalbed Methane (CBM) and Geosequestration. There he develops and leads research programs to maximise CBM production and reserves, including Enhanced CBM with CO2 or Flue Gas sequestration.
Paul has acted as an expert witness and consultant to the international CBM industry and has published over 60 papers. His broad 40+ years experience covers senior technical, drilling and operational management in the international oil & gas industry in Canada and the USA, and infrastructure power industries, including M&A.
He is a graduate of McGill University, where he obtained his Chemical Engineering degree, and has graduate management qualificationsfrom the Wharton School of Finance and the Banff School of Advanced Management. He has been a long-standing memberof the Society of Petroleum Engineers, currently on the Executive Committee of the Queensland Section. |
